Upon receiving a referral from your general dentist, we will add your details, referral and X-rays to our secure dental software.  Your referral will then be sent to one of our Specialist Endodontists who will action the referral letter and decide on an appropriate appointment.

We aim to contact you within a week via post  (or email if provided) requesting you to contact us to make an appointment.

Once you have contacted us a mutually convenient appointment can then be arranged.

2. SENDING CONFIRMATION

Once an appointment has been secured with payment of a deposit, we will send you an email to you, which will include a confirmation appointment letter (including a consent form), medical questionnaire, directions, and post-operative instructions.

3. THE DAY BEFORE

We will also contact you by telephone the day before your appointment to confirm your attendance – and to confirm that you have received the relevant paperwork and we can answer any outstanding queries.

4. APPOINTMENT WITH THE SPECIALIST - I

The Dental nurse will come down to the Lounge to meet you and will show to the Specialist’s room .

Initially, the Specialist will discuss your case and why you have been referred by your general dentist, and ask you about the problems with the relevant tooth/teeth.

4. APPOINTMENT WITH THE SPECIALIST - II

The Specialist will then perform a clinical examination of your mouth, take appropriate X-ray images of the problematic area and perform some tests.

They will then discuss with you the diagnosis and prognosis, and all the appropriate treatment options and relevant costs.

5. MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION

After our Specialist has discussed all the relevant information with you thoroughly, you can come to a decision to either proceed with the advised treatment to save your tooth, decide not to have any treatment, or ask for more time to think about your options and to let us know when you are ready to schedule another appointment if you wish.

6. TREATMENT

Whether you are attending for an initial Consultation or to go straight to treatment (depending on the individual case) you will receive the highest level of care throughout your time with us.

7. POST TREATMENT CARE

Following your treatment your Specialist Endodontist will email a full report to your general dentist with any long-term follow-up advice.

In some cases, a review appointment will be made so that the  Specialist can monitor the healing response from the treatment.

You will then be discharged back to your general dentist for any permanent restorations (if required).

They will sign you in and ask you for your paperwork including completed medical history form. Our Receptionist will guide you to our Patient lounge, until the Specialist is ready to see you
